Let’s take a break from draperies and interior design and talk about my go-to, absolute favorite, hair and beauty products!
Over the years I’ve complied quite a collection of products that I just can’t live without. The items range from a little pricey to inexpensive.
It’s really just about what I like the best vs. brand name or how much it costs. My favorite face bronzer is only $4 on Amazon! So here are most of my favorites…all available to purchase on Amazon!
HAIR
Redken Extreme Length Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-In Treatment
My hair was pretty damaged a few years ago when I decided to go all blonde. It was also shoulder length (my hair usually grows very slow). These products brought my hair back to life! My hair has grown about 20” in 2 years and is healthier than it’s ever been. I swear by this stuff!
Bumble and Bumble Heat Shield Thermal Protection Mist
I don’t ever blow dry my hair, I let it air dry. But I do curl it with a very hot curling iron. I spray this on my dry hair and brush it through right before I curl it. I’ve tried many other sprays that aren’t as pricey, but I always come back to this one. It is worth it!
Hot Tools Pro Signature Gold Curling Iron, 1-1/4 in The curls last for days! Plus, it’s super easy to use.
MAKEUP
L'Oreal Paris Makeup True Match Lumi Glotion Hands down favorite face product! And believe me, I’ve tried many. I’m not a fan of foundation or heavy makeup so I use this instead. I apply it all over my face before I apply other products like concealer, bronzer, etc. It gives you a beautiful glow that you can still see under your setting powder. It’s also a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury's Flawless Filter, but much less expensive.
Rimmel Powder Natural Bronzer, Sun Bronze This is the $4 bronzer I was talking about! It looks so natural and doesn’t go on too dark. It’s easy to apply and blends well.
Sorme Cosmetics Natural & Healing Mineral Botanicals Eyeshadow
I’m obsessed with the shade “Bare.” This eyeshadow lasts all day and doesn’t crease.
Skone Cosmetics Insanely Intense Tattooed Eyeliner Pen, Jet Black I have tried so many felt tip eyeliner pens and this one is the best! It’s waterproof, long lasting, sweatproof and smudgeproof.
L'Oreal Paris Makeup Brow Stylist Definer Waterproof Eyebrow Ultra-Fine Pencil This eyebrow pencil draws tiny brow hairs and fills in sparse areas and gaps. I’ve tried many that are either too hard or too soft and break easily. This one is like Goldilocks porridge, just right.
NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP HD Studio Finishing Loose Setting Powder, Translucent Finish After I have applied glotion, bronzer and blush, I dust this powder all over my face to set it. It is super lightweight and translucent so it doesn’t look or feel heavy.
Morphe Continuous Setting Mist Once all makeup is done, except for lashes, I spray this all over my face. It helps to keep everything in place all day.
KISS So Wispy Fake Eyelashes Multipack #01, 5 pairs When I wear fake eyelashes, these are my favorite. They have an invisible lightweight band and are to easy to apply. Best when applied with iENVY by KISS 3D lash glue.
